Too bad it can't recognize its own reflection. overall I like the capture. I was looking at the EXIF: you handled the lighting very well
vintage: Thanks for your kind comment
What a fantastic bird! Have never seen one so up close and personal. Great capture!!!
vintage: Marcie glad you like him
Ripples and reflection captured brilliantly.
vintage: Thanks very much for your comment
Nicely done! It looks thoughtful, but it is probably just thinking about fish.
vintage: Martin you may be right
"What a funny old fellow is Mr Pelican...
His beak can hold more than his belly can." Ooops! Your excellent pic triggered some kind of time travel...slid me back half a century or so.
Very nice, Vintage. They're a cool looking creature that we don't see here in Eastern Canada. I guess that's true of most of your fabulous birds.
vintage: They are very interesting when they are in the air and on water they do look cool but walking is not cool
brilliant composition vintage
the image looks like it can be punched up in post
vintage: Thanks for your visit, and comment
Fantastic image Vintage. To start with I thought I was going to need a bex and a good lie down. It looked B&W on the thumbnail. I should have known better. lol Love those wispy reeds around him and the sudued colour.
vintage: Whats B/W lol
A very fine bird is the Pelican
His beak can hold more than his bellycan Nice shot vintage
vintage: Thanks Mate
Oh how beautiful, I wish we had them here. The reflection and the motion trail behind him are nice. He just appears to be enjoying his pelican life and that comes through in the photo, I like the peaceful feeling I get from this shot.
vintage: SuRi thank you for your very kind comment
These really are fantastic creatures, vintage. Nice light too.
vintage: Thanks Chad they are so good in the air and water but to watch them walking is a strange thing

A wonderful photograph with the reeds and reflection on the water.

There is just so much going on here with all those lines, but they compliment each other. Even the bird is in lines. I love it.
vintage: Sheila I am glad you like it
Amazing looking pelican...I love the muted colours, and that eye!
vintage: Thanks for visiting my site
Beautiful, Vintage.. the muted colours really complement each other here. I like the composition, too.

Fabulous muted tones and gentle light, but not at the cost of detail. I particularly love the pink beak. (:o)
vintage: Thanks Ros it was quite a dull day
The bird is well etched against the water and still quite sharp. Good one.
vintage: Thanks very much :ouis
I like this framing including beautiful reflection.
