Now you're talking, Vintage. I grew up with seeing these water towers in every city we passed through here in the States. We still see them everywhere we go but now they're our reserve tanks for emergencies. This one is a very cool color. I like it!
vintage: To the right of this tank is a huge concrete tank ugly but in use
Love the lighting here. And here in Albuquerque I don't think there are any water towers.... I have not seen one since I left New York 25 years ago.
vintage: Thank you Helen for dropping bye

vintage: Me to chad after your comment
nice imposing view
there's a tad too much competition from the greenery though
vintage: I beleive the trees were planted to hide this wonderful structure and it works from mosted angles
Lol at Chad. He is probably referring to my referring to Bernd and Hilla Becher recently on his blog. They famously took pictures of amongst other things, water towers but in a very different style to this http://www.masters-of-fine-art-photography.com/02/artphotogallery/photographers/bernd_and_hilla_becher_01.html. They used a very deadpan, evenly lit style to make typographical studies and probably wouldn't have approved in the slightest of your beautiful, glowing, romantic light!
